_ teaspoon beef bouillon
___ cup hot water
_ 1/2 pounds ground beef
___ cup cracker crumbs or unseasoned dry bread crumbs
___ cup chopped onions
_ teaspoons dried basil leaves
___ teaspoon garlic powder
___ teaspoon pepper
___ cup ketchup
___ teaspoon hot pepper sauce
_ egg, slightly beaten
1. Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, dissolve beef bouillon in hot water. Add all remaining ingredients; mix well. Spoon mixture into ungreased 8x4-inch loaf pan or shape mixture into 8x4-inch loaf in ungreased 12 3 8-inch (2-quart) baking dish. Insert meat thermometer so bulb reaches center of meat loaf.
2. Bake at 350°F. for 1 1/4 hours or until beef is thoroughly cooked in center and meat thermometer reaches 160°F. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
