1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon sliced olives (pimiento-stuffed)
1 tablespoon sliced ripe olives
2 teaspoons chopped fresh chives, or 1 teaspoon freeze-dried basil leaves
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup slivered almonds (optional)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil or 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
Assorted crackers or bread, if desired
Mix all ingredients except almonds, basil and crackers. Cover and refrigerate 1 to 2 hours to blend flavors. Just before serving, sprinkle with almonds and basil. Serve with crackers.
