The secret to this flavorful tea is the gingerroot. The more gingerroot you use and the longer the tea stands, the stronger the ginger flavor will be.
4 cups water
4 tea bags
3 to 4 inchs piece ginger root, thinly sliced
1 to 2 tablespoons grated orange peel
4 sprigs mint leaves
Heat water to boiling. Add tea bags, gingerroot and orange peel; remove from heat. Steep 10 minutes; remove tea bags. Let stand 30 to 60 minutes. Place mint in ice-filled glasses. Strain tea over ice. Strain and refrigerate any remaining tea.
