1 pound (about 4) uncooked bratwurst
1 (12-ounce) can beer
1 medium sliced onion, sliced
10 black peppercorns

1. GRILL DIRECTIONS: Heat grill. In large saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring just to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 10 minutes. Remove bratwurst and, if necessary, continue simmering onions until tender.
2. Immediately place bratwurst on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals. Cook 6 to 10 minutes or until browned, turning once. To serve, drain onions and serve with bratwurst.
TIP:To broil bratwurst, place on broiler pan; broil 4 to 6 inches from heat using times above as a guide, turning once.
