Lovely Lamb Stew |

Serves: 6

1 teaspoon vegetable oil
2 pounds lamb for stewing, cut into 2-inch cubes
1/2 cup unbleached flour, white
1 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons celery seeds
3 carrots, quartered
6 white onions (small) halved
1/4 cup parsley, fresh, minced
2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
3 cups tomato juice
This is a low-calorie main dish from the Days of Our Lives Celebrity Cookbook, contributed by Kaye Stevens, and published by Gloria Loring, 1981.
Heat heavy deep pan, greased lightly with oil. Dip lamb in flour. Brown well. Add all remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer until fork-tender, 1½-2 hours.
