English Muffin Pizza Melt

Ingredients

1 pound lean ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 (8-ounce) can pizza sauce
2 teaspoons minced fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
3 English muffins, split

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

2. Cook beef and onion until meat is no longer pink. Drain fat. Stir in pizza sauce and seasonings and simmer 2 minutes.

3. If desired, toast muffins. Top each muffin with 1/6 cup beef mixture. Top with 1 tsp cheese.

4. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until heated thoroughly and cheese is melted.
