4 or 5 oranges
1/2 cup raisins golden
1 or 2 grapefruit
2 avocados ripe
3 tablespoons lemon juice fresh
1 cup mayonnaise commercial or Basic
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Pinch salt

Grate the rind and squeeze the juice of one orange to make 1 teaspoon rind and 1/4 cup juice; reserve rind. Soak raisins in orange juice for 1/2 hour. Peel and divide remaining oranges into sections and place in a bowl. Peel and divide grapefruit into sections, cutting each section in half; combine with oranges. Peel and thinly slice avocados into a shallow dish; coat slices with lemon juice to keep from turning dark. Drain and reserve about half of the raisins and set aside for garnish. Add mayonnaise, orange rind, paprika and salt to remaining raisins and juice. Blend well. Place lettuce on six to eight individual serving plates. Decoratively arrange orange and grapefruit sections on lettuce, top with avocado, then sprinkle with reserved raisins. Spoon some of the dressing over each.
