This mahogany-colored salty and slightly sweet sauce, gives a flavor burst to pork, chicken, shrimp, fish and vegetables.


   ___ cup vegetable oil
   ___ cup soy sauce
   _ tablespoons ketchup
   _ tablespoon white vinegar
   ___ teaspoon pepper
   _ cloves garlic, finely chopped


1. Mix all ingredients.

2. Use sauce immediately, or cover and refrigerate up to 2 weeks or freeze up to 1 year.
