1 pound ground beef, very lean
1 teaspoon sage
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper, finely ground
1. Mix all ingredients together thoroughly.
2. Shape into 8 patties
3. Broil. If pan-frying, drain off the fat as it collects.
4. Drain patties on paper towels.
