1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
Dash salt
1 cup water
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons margarine or butter
2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
1. In medium saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch and salt; mix well. Stir in water until well blended.
2. Cook over medium heat for about 7 minutes or until mixture boils and is slightly thickened and clear, stirring constantly.
3. Remove from heat; stir in lemon juice, margarine and lemon peel. Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate until serving time. Store in refrigerator.
