Prep Time: 15 minutes - Yield: frosts 2-layer or 13 x 9-inch cake
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup milk
3 cups powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1. In medium saucepan, melt margarine. Add brown sugar; cook over low heat for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add milk; continue cooking until mixture comes to a rolling boil. Remove saucepan from heat.
2. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla, mixing well after each addition. If needed, add a few drops of milk for desired spreading consistency.
