Barbecued Spareribs: Stock-Soy Marinade |

2 cloves garlic
2 slices fresh ginger root
1 cup Stock, Chicken or Meat
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons sherry

1. Mince garlic and ginger root; then combine with remaining ingredients.
2. Add to spareribs and marinate (see Pork, *Spareribs).
VARIATIONS:
* For the white sugar, substitute brown sugar.
* Add 3 tablespoons honey and 3 tablespoons vinegar.
* Add 1/2 cup catsup and 1 teaspoon salt.
