The "meatballs" here are prepared with 100 percent vegetable burgers flavored with Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning; they taste just like traditional sausage.
_ Italian bread shell or prepared pizza crust (12 inches in diameter)
___ cup pizza sauce
_ frozen soybean-based vegetables burgers, thawed
_ tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
___ teaspoon Italian seasoning, crumbled
_ tablespoons sliced ripe olives
_ cup shredded part-skim or regular mozzarella cheese (4 ounces)
_ cup shredded provolone cheese (4 ounces)
eat oven to 425°. Place bread shell on ungreased large cookie sheet. Spread pizza sauce over bread shell. Mix burgers, Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Shape into 1/2-inch balls. Top pizza with burger balls and olives. Sprinkle with cheeses. Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and light golden brown.
