Hawaiian-Style Pork Spareribs |

3 pounds pork spare ribs meaty country-style
1 cup water
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice fresh
2 cloves garlic halved
1 slice ginger fresh, 1/4 -inch thick
Several drops Tabasco® pepper sauce
3 tomatoes peeled and cut in wedges
8 green onions sliced
Heat oven to 350° F. Place ribs in roasting pan and bake for 30 minutes. In blender or food processor, combine water, soy sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, and Tabasco®; purée. Pour marinade over meat and marinate, unrefrigerated, for 3 to 4 hours, turning frequently. Drain, reserving marinade. Grill meat over medium coals basting frequently until browned and cooked through, 30 to 45 minutes. Garnish with tomato wedges and green onion slices.
