Melt butter in a medium saucepan add whipping cream, artichoke hearts, nutmeg and cheeses. Stir constantly over medium heat until cheeses melt. Add egg yolk continue cooking for another 3 to 5 minutes. Pour fettuccini into a serving bowl add cream mixture. Stir well and serve immediately.
