Ingredients

10 corn tortillas, 6-inch, fresh
2 tablespoons peanut oil or vegetable oil

Directions:

These chips are superior to commercial chips for two healthy reasons-lower sodium and much lower fat.

1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
2. Using a pastry brush, lightly coat one side of each tortilla with oil. Use a sharp knife to cut the tortillas, stacked together, into halves, quarters, then eighths.
3. Spread chips on nonstick baking pans. Bake for 10 minutes or until crisp and beginning to brown.
