Sour Cream Apple Pie |

1 cup sour cream
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg large, beaten
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups apples peeled, sliced tart cooking (such as Granny Smith)
1 frozen pie crust unbaked 9-inch pastry shell
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon ground
1/4 cup butter or margarine, cut in pieces
Preheat oven to 450°.
Combine sour cream, 3/4 cup sugar, egg, 2 tablespoons flour, salt, and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Add apples; toss to mix thoroughly. Pour into pastry shell.
Bake 15 minutes; reduce oven temperature to 325° and bake 20 minutes. Remove from oven.
Meanwhile in a small bowl, mix 1/3 cup sugar, 1/4 cup flour, and cinnamon. With a pastry blender or two knives, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over pie. Bake 20 minutes longer. Cool on a wire rack. Refrigerate leftovers.
