1 pound ground beef extra-lean
1/2 pound pork sausages bulk
1 cup seasoned stuffing mix Pepperidge Farm®
1 cup Homemade Tomato Sauce
1 egg well-beaten
1/2 onion medium, finely chopped
1 green bell pepper medium, finely chopped
1 teaspoon italian seasoning dried
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar finely packed
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg ground
Heat oven to 350° F. Combine beef and sausage in large bowl. Add remaining ingredients and mix until well-blended. Lightly pack into 9 x 5-inch loaf pan and bake for 1/2 hour. Prepare following topping:

*Mix well; cover meat loaf with topping or use 1/2 cup of your own sauce. Bake an additional 1/2 hour.
