This colorful coleslaw has been a longtime favorite in our family. Cabbage, carrots and green pepper are blended with a tasty dressing that gets its zest from a hint of mustard.

3 to 4 cups shredded cabbage
1 cup shredded carrots
1 cup thinly sliced green peppers
1/2 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 to 2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 teaspoon salt
In a large salad bowl, toss cabbage, carrots and green pepper. In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Pour over the cabbage mixture and toss to coat. Chill for at least 2-3 hours.
