Spicy Bean Burgers

Prep Time: 20 minutes - Yield: 5 sandwiches


   1 (15-ounce) can spicy chili beans, undrained
   1 cup unseasoned dry bread crumbs
   1/4 cup finely chopped onions
   1 egg, slightly beaten
   5 hamburger buns, split


1. In medium bowl, mash beans. Stir in bread crumbs, onion and egg; mix well. Shape mixture into 5 patties, about 3 1/2 inches in diameter.

2. Spray 12-inch nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Heat over medium heat until hot. Place patties in skillet; cook 6 to 8 minutes or until lightly browned, turning once. Serve burgers in buns.
