Hummus Sandwiches

Ingredients

1 (15-ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained, rinsed
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons water
3 garlic cloves, minced
8 slices pumpernickel bread
1 large tomato, sliced
1 cup alfalfa sprouts

Directions:

1. In food processor bowl with metal blade, combine garbanzo beans, sesame seed, ground red pepper, lemon juice, water and garlic process until smooth. Cover refrigerate at least 10 minutes to blend flavors.

2. To make sandwiches, generously spread 4 bread slices with bean mixture. Top with tomatoes, sprouts and remaining bread slices.
