_ pounds russet potatoes (about 4 medium)
___ cup water
___ cup italian herb dressing
_ cup celery chopped
___ cup green onions 1/4 -inch sliced
___ teaspoon celery seeds
___ teaspoon salt
_ pound polish sausages smoked
* Cooking Time: 18 to 22 minutes Power: 100% (700 watts) Standing Time: 15 minutes Peel potatoes and cut into 3/4 -inch cubes (you will need about 4 cups). In a 2-quart oblong microwavable casserole, place potatoes and water. Cover with a glass lid or plastic wrap, turning one corner back. Microwave at 100% power (700 watts) for 12 to 14 minutes or until tender, stirring after 6 minutes. Drain well.
Pour dressing over potatoes. Cover and let stand for 10 minutes.
Stir celery, green onions and celery seeds into potatoes. Sprinkle with salt and stir.
Cut sausage into 5-inch pieces. Slash each piece of sausage about three times, without cutting all the way through. Arrange meat on top of potato mixture. Re-cover and vent. Microwave at 100% power for 6 to 8 minutes or until sausage is plump and heated through. Let stand, covered, for 5 minutes before serving.
Note: Eight frankfurters can be used in place of the sausage. Slash each frankfurter two or three times and reduce final cooking time to 4 to 5 minutes.
