If a straight shot of tequila is a bit much for your taste, try a Tequila Salud that my husband, Bill, conjured up for me. When I sip tequila, my preference is reposado (rested), but if you have a favorite, use it. We always use 100% blue agave. Tequila Salud is best icy cold right out of the freezer, with a squirt of fresh lime. Salud!
1 ounce 100% blue agave tequila, reposado or añejo
1/2 teaspoon fresh lime juice
Pour the tequila into a thin (2-ounce) cordial glass, and put it in the freezer at least 1 hour. Remove the glass of tequila from the freezer and immediately add the lime juice. Serve immediately while icy cold.
