Beef With Spiced Pepper Sauce |

If you're watching your salt intake, try reduced-sodium soy sauce. It has 50 percent less sodium than regular soy sauce, but it still has the same great flavor!
1 top beef sirloin steak, about 3/4 inch thick
3 tablespoons ketchup
3 tablespoons water
3/4 teaspoon soy sauce
1/2 medium green bell peppers, cut into thin strips
1 small onion, thinly sliced

1. Remove fat from beef. Place beef between 2 sheets of plastic wrap or waxed paper. Pound beef with meat mallet or rolling pin to tenderize. Cut beef in 4 serving
pieces.
2. Beat ketchup, water and soy sauce with wire whisk until blended; set aside.
3. Spray 10-inch nonstick skillet with cooking spray; heat over medium-high heat. Cook beef in skillet 3 minutes, turning once. Add bell pepper and onion. Stir in ketchup
mixture; reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 12 minutes. Remove beef from skillet; keep warm.
4. Stir ground pepper into sauce in skillet; heat to boiling. Boil 2 minutes, stirring frequently, until sauce is slightly thickened. Serve sauce over beef.
