1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon lemon peels grated
2 tablespoons lemon juice fresh
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 tablespoon lemon juice fresh

Preheat oven to 350° F. In a small mixer bowl at low speed beat flour, butter or margarine and powdered sugar until uniform. Press evenly in the bottom of an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
In a large mixer bowl at high speed beat sugar, eggs, flour, rind, juice, baking powder and salt until light and fluffy. Pour over hot crust. Bake 25 to 30 minutes longer or until center is set. Cool in pan on a wire rack.
In a small mixer bowl at low speed beat powdered sugar, butter or margarine and lemon juice until smooth and of spreading consistency. Spread over top of cookies. Cut into squares.
