1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon ground
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg ground
6 cups apples cored, pared and sliced tart
2 tablespoons butter real
In a medium saucepan combine sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and nutmeg; stir in apples. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture thickens and apples are almost tender, about 7 minutes. Remove from heat.
