1 16-ounce package egg noodles
4 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2 cup almonds slivered

Prepare egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and butter with 2 tablespoons butter or margarine. In small skillet, add 2 tablespoons butter or margarine and slivered almonds; sauté for 1 or 2 minutes until butter or margarine and nuts are golden. Pour over noodles and mix well by tossing.
Note: To cook noodles ahead, after draining add 2 tablespoons vegetable oil and toss, coating all noodles. Just before serving, plunge noodles into boiling water for a few seconds to heat. Drain, then add butter or margarine and almonds.
