7 or 8 turnips pared and thinly sliced
2 tablespoons onions minced
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup cream
1 10 1/2-ounce package peas thawed
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Parsley Minced fresh
Cook turnips until tender; drain. Sauté onion in butter or margarine and sugar for approximately 1 minute. Add turnips and cook until hot. Add heavy cream and peas; simmer, uncovered, until cream is reduced and thickened. Add seasonings, sprinkle with parsley, and serve hot.
