Vanilla-flavored candy coating may also be called almond bark, confectionery coating or summer coating and is mainly used for candy making. The most common variety of candy coating you’ll find in grocery stores are vanilla and chocolate; specialty stores, such as cake decorating shops, may carry coating in pastel colors.
1 (24-ounce) package vanilla-flavored candy coating, (almond bark)
___ cup creamy peanut butter
_ cups Cheerios cereal
_ cups miniature marshmallows
_ cups dry-roasted peanuts
1. Melt candy coating in 4-quart saucepan over medium heat, stirring frequently. Stir in peanut butter until mixture is smooth. Add remaining ingredients; stirring until completely coated.
2. Drop mixture by heaping teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper or cookie sheet. Let stand about 1 hour or until firm. Store tightly covered.
