The inventing and testing of their recipes often provides Bake-Off® Contest entrants with their fondest memories. "My husband and I became very close friends with a student from Rhodesia," Susan Cox says. "He and my husband were my official Bake-Off® critics for one month. Each week they were served a special meal with Potato Chive Rolls as the highlight. The first time I was told they greatly resembled sour wallpaper paste. I finally came up with a roll that received their seal of approval. Our beloved friend returned to his native land, but before he boarded his plane he presented me with a sterling silver roll basket." Now Susan's prize-winning rolls are proudly served in silver, but she treasures the memories of perfecting her Bake-Off® recipe most of all.
