Cooking is a work of the mind as much as it is a work of the hands. "I'm just a typical down-home country girl who loves to cook and cook and cook," Kathy Herdman commented, describing the abstract process that many Bake-Off® winners say they use to come up with their recipes. "I don't just start throwing food together. Visualization is the key. I add and take away ingredients in my mind. When the final product looks good in my mind, then I try out the recipe in reality. Dreams do come true," concluded Kathy, "at least sometimes." Sometimes they become so real, you can taste them!
