Time. You can save it, savor it, spend it or even waste it. With three young children, Kathryn Blackburn found herself baking every day. "To save time I developed a sugar cookie recipe that could be made as a bar cookie." She entered her one recipe, and several months later found herself a finalist. Once at the Bake-Off® Contest, Kathryn wasn't fazed by the bustle. "Actually, it was a lot easier cooking at the Bake-Off® than in my own kitchen with my three little helpers constantly underfoot." But she acknowledges that without the little helpers, she might never have created her winning cookie recipe.
