1 cup raisins
2 cups water
2 teaspoons dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water
5 cups whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons honey
1 egg
1/4 cup olive oil
Bring raisins and water to a boil; remove from heat and let stand. Dissolve dry yeast in warm water together and set aside. Put whole wheat flour and salt into mixing bowl. Combine honey, egg and olive oil; add raisins-water mixture. Add yeast and mix well; knead; let rise; punch down; let rise again and mold into loaves. Let rise and bake at 350°F about 45 minutes.
