1 1/2 cups rolled oats
2 cups water
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water
3 tablespoons honey
5 cups whole wheat flour
1/4 cup olive oil
Cook rolled oats, water, and salt until thick; cool. Dissolve dry yeast in warm water with honey. Into a mixing bowl, put whole wheat flour. Add yeast, oat mixture and olive oil. Knead well (mixture will be very stiff) until dough becomes more pliable. Cover and let rise; punch down and let rise again; mold. Let rise in pans and bake at 350°F for about 45 minutes.
