2 tablespoons water or grape juice
1 cup golden raisins
3 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon SAF instant yeast
3 eggs
3/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
6 ounces unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
1 orange, zested
Mix water and raisins; let stand 1 hour. Mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast with dough hook in electric mixer. In another bowl, beat eggs slightly; add milk and vanilla. Stir into dry mixture; mix 15 minutes at low speed until smooth. Add butter, orange zest, and plumped raisins to dough; beat well. Arrange dough in a buttered bundt form pan; let rise 45-60 minutes; bake at 350°F for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 325°F and bake for 45 minutes, until golden brown.
