1/2 pound sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
Dash cayenne pepper
Dash salt
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
Combine cheese, butter, mustard, salt and pepper in top of double boiler. Cook over hot water until cheese has melted. Beat egg slightly. Mix a little hot cheese mixture into egg; then add all to cheese mixture. Add milk; cook about 2 minutes more. Serve over hot toast.
