Cherry And Apple Cobbler

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups puréed sour red cherries
1/4 cup sugar
1 large apple, sliced
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 cup milk

Directions:

Add cherries, sugar and apple mix. Put mixture into buttered baking dish. Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt cut in butter. Mix egg and milk together add to flour mixture. Knead 30 seconds on floured board put on top of fruit mixture. Bake at 400° for 25 to 30 minutes. Serve warm.
