1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup molasses
5 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
2 tablespoons cinnamon
1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
1 cup crystallized ginger, chopped
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Whipped cream
Cream together butter and sugar. Add molasses and eggs; beat well. Combine flour, cinnamon, and baking soda; add. Add ginger and nuts. Spoon mixture into a well-buttered 1-1/2 quart pudding mold. Cover and put into a large, deep pan add boiling water to 2/3 of the mold. Cover pan and simmer over low heat for 1-1/2 hours. Remove; unmold and serve with whipped cream
