3 cups milk
3 eggs
3 tablespoons sugar
Dash salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Heat milk. Beat eggs slightly. Add sugar, salt, and vanilla. Add just a small amount of hot milk to the eggs; stir to mix and warm; then add balance of the hot milk. Bake in custard cups set in pan of hot water at 300°F for 60 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean. Cool.
