MERINGUE SHELL:
Beat egg whites until soft peaks form add sugar, salt and vanilla. Spread meringue against bottom and sides of baking dish bake at 225°F for 1-1/2 hours turn oven off and let stand in oven 1 hour or more. 
FILLING:
Mix sugar, gelatin, egg yolks and evaporated milk in sauce pan and cook on low heat until mixture coats a spoon. Remove from heat and add lime juice chill about 2 hours. Beat egg whites until stiff fold into lime mixture. Whip cream and fold into lime mixture. Chill about 1 hour spoon into meringue shell chill 2 hours.
