1. Cut shortening into flour mixture until the mixture looks like fine crumbs.
2. Stir in milk until dough leaves side of bowl (dough will be soft and sticky).
3. Roll or pat the dough 1/2 inch thick. Cut dough with a cutter that has been dipped in flour.
