2 pounds beef round steaks
1/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon thyme
Salt and pepper
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 cup tomato sauce
Cut round steak into pieces; pound until tender and flat. Mix together flour, thyme, salt, and pepper; cover meat. Brown the steaks on both sides in bacon grease, if possible. Add onion and garlic; sauté 2 minutes. Add tomato sauce and simmer two hours. Before serving, remove any fat; pour drippings over the steaks.
