3 pounds beef ribs or pork ribs, cut in pieces
2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 teaspoons dry mustard
2/3 cup vinegar
1 cup crushed pineapple, undrained
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup chopped onions
2 tablespoons soy sauce
Spread ribs, meaty side up in large, shallow pan and brown at 425°F for 20 to 30 minutes; drain. Combine brown sugar, cornstarch, mustard, vinegar, pineapple, ketchup, water, onion, and soy sauce in saucepan; cook until thick, stirring constantly. Pour sauce over ribs and bake at 350°F for about 1-1/2 hours. Keep basting and turning while cooking.
