4 to 5 pounds beef short ribs
Shortening as needed
1 onion, chopped
1 1/4 cups ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup celery, minced
1/4 cup vinegar
1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1 tablespoon flour
Enough water to make sauce
Hot noodles
Brown ribs with shortening in Dutch oven. Mix onion, ketchup, celery, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and mustard; pour over meat. Simmer two hours; remove meat and any excess fat. Add flour and water; stir. Serve over hot noodles.
