2/3 cup yellow cornmeal
1/3 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
8 to 10 turkey frankfurters
Combine yellow cornmeal, flour, and salt. Add milk, egg, and vegetable oil; mix well. Insert wooden skewer into frankfurters. Coat with flour and dip into cornmeal mixture. Fry a few at a time in deep, hot oil (375°F) until golden brown.
