Barbequed Beef Ribs |

4 pounds beef short ribs
1 onion, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
Water to cover
1 green pepper diced
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 large onion, chopped
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1/3 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt

Put beef short ribs, onion, salt, and water to cover into Dutch oven. Bring to a boil and simmer until tender (about 1-1/2 hours.) Remove ribs and set aside. Cook green pepper, garlic and onion, in oil until tender. Add ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, water, and salt; simmer 5 minutes, brush over ribs and broil until heated through.
