Chili For A Crowd

Ingredients

2 pounds ground beef
1 large onion, diced
1 large green pepper, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup chili powder
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
1 (28-ounce) can stewed tomatoes with liquid
1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
2 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 bay leaf
2 (15 1/2-ounce) cans red kidney beans

Directions:

Cook beef, onion, pepper, and garlic until beef is well browned. Add chili powder and ground red pepper cook 1 minute. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, and bay leaf heat to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally. Drain beans and add. Heat to boiling then reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Skim fat and discard bay leaf.
