2 cups lima beans
4 cups water
Water to cover
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 large can tomato
1 small can green chili
1 cup uncooked macaroni
1 cup Cheddar cheese, grated
4 green onions, chopped

Boil lima beans in water, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand about 1 hour. Add water, onion, garlic, chili powder, and salt; simmer until tender. Stir in tomatoes, green chilies, macaroni, cheddar cheese and green onions. Cover and simmer until macaroni is done, about 20 minutes.
