Cashew Brownie Bars |

Everyone will be impressed and delighted when you present them with these yummy sweet treats. Using a brownie mix to start with not only makes it a snap to make these rich, nutty bars but also allows you to whip them up at a moments notice.

1 (15 1/2-ounce) package Betty Crocker fudge brownie mix
Brown Butter Frosting (below)
1 (1-ounce) square unsweetened chocolate
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup chopped cashew nuts
BROWN BUTTER FROSTING
1/4 cup butter
2 cups confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons light cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1. Bake Fudgy or Cake-like Brownies as directed on package. Cool.
2. Frost with Brown Butter Frosting. Melt chocolate and butter over low heat. When cool, spread over frosting; sprinkle with nuts. When topping is set, cut into bars, 2 1/4 x 1 inch.
For Brown Butter Frosting
In 1-quart saucepan, heat butter over medium heat until delicate brown. Blend in sugar. Beat in light cream and vanilla until smooth and of spreading consistency.
