1 large onion, chopped
1 pound ground beef (break into chunks)
1 (1-pound) can stewed tomatoes
1 (1-pound) can red kidney beans
1 (15-ounce) can chili con carne without beans
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 package corn tortillas
1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
Sauté onion until tender; remove from pan. In same pan cook ground beef, tomatoes, kidney beans, chili corn carne, salt and pepper. Place tortilla layer in baking dish; top with 1 cup sauce; repeat to make five more layers. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 400°F for 30 minutes.
